- Inhomogeneous systems (Monte Carlo simulations for the Falicov-Kimball model, Anderson localization)
- Nanophysics (properties of superconducting nanorings, role of Coulomb correlations in nanosystems, transport through nanosystems)
- Ultracold atoms (Monte Carlo simulations of mixtures of ultracold atoms in optical lattices)
